WWII

Brief

Design an exhibit in the museum that tells the story of AriensCo.’s contribution to the war effort in WWII, and how it changed the company.

Roles

Exhibit Design
Art Direction
3D Modeling and Rendering
Research
Production
Management of multiple vendors

Background

During World War 2, AriensCo. re-tooled their factory to provide support for Operation Husky, for which they received an Ordinance Award from the U.S. Government. To tell this seemingly incongruous story, I drew inspiration from traditional exhibit dioramas, and created a space that is familiar, visually interesting, and educational.

Design and Development

I did a lot of art direction in this exhibit, working closely with Elevate 97 on the environmental graphic design. I also contracted a local artist, Claire Abitz, to sew and install the hero display element- the parachute.
